It's that season again for all TV writers and creators to pitch their ideas to the network. Entertainment Weekly has found the formula of how the networks pick TV pilots. It's fun to read the subtext, it's so snarky and funny: “Swap out whatshername for Krysten Ritter — her show was just canceled, and viewers know who she is.” Hee.
Whoa, I just re-watched the movie 21 last week, and now this news? Ben Affleck caught counting cards in Las Vegas casino. So counting cards are for real? And it is forbidden? It's like a restaurant telling its customer you can't eat your food the way you like it, that's not very nice.
You gotta give it to Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon for giving a fake feud such a long leg. Jimmy pranked Matt, Matt pranked Jimmy,Jimmy prsnked Matt back... It' hard to remember who's turn is it now, but apparently it's Jimmy's. After hearing Matt Damon expressed a “super-tiny” amount of interest in buying the Los Angeles Clippers from disgraced owner Donald Sterling, Jimmy put him down by saying “This could be the first time a major sports team has been bought using money earned from making out with Michael Douglas.”. Oops, hahaha.
The cast of the new Star Wars movie was announced late last month. Now everyone has shared this and every one of the fans out there has something they would like to say. I am not a big fan, so naturally my only reaction is: Mark Hamill is still around?
They had an early screening of Godzilla recently, and it's a wise decision to slowly built up the hype and buzz after the disaster of the last Godzilla movie. I may not like the previous one (I recall John Cusack running around, that's the only thing I remember) but I'm still eagerly awaiting this new one. But according to those who had seen it, you don't get to see much of Godzilla in a movie called Godzilla. Hmm...
WIRED has its movie review of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the writer Angela Watercutter didn't like it. She feels the movie has too many subplots going on, and eventually it fell short on any of it. The only thing we have in common is that we both like Dane DeHaan in it. Read my review here. Oh ya, and another review from GMA's David Blaustein.
