Hotel Deluxe - 5-Star Hotel? Maybe, But Definitely Not a 5-Star Movie.

No surprise at all (well, luckily I wasn't looking for one). No one is expecting a great artistic movie anyway, as this Chinese New Year movie is supposed to bring fun and entertainment to the audience. For this purpose, I would say the movie only did a decent job, not a good job. The actors and actresses did not give in their best. The storyline is a bit too busy, I prefer it to be simple. The jokes felt recycled. Even Sandra Ng & Raymond Wong lost the chemistry they had been building for the past 20 years since All's Well Ends Well (the original one). Teresa Mo and Chapman To also weren't funny at all. As for the rest & younger cast, well they were not meant for this kind of movie anyway. Just a so-so movie. 2 stars.
