Random Thoughts While Watching "Iron Man 3"

Random thoughts while watching "Iron Man 3" (this is not a review, just random notes):

(1) I was actually growing tired of the movie even before it started. For the past few months, the trailer of this movie preceded every movie I watched; and frankly speaking, the trailer wasn't very good. I went to watch it because... well, you just don't not watch a big movie like Iron Man.

(2) Oh hello, the trailer of The Lone Ranger. Weirdo Johnny Depp and weirdo Helena Bonham Carter. Nothing beats that.

(3) The use of the song "Blue" at the start of the movie... immediately got me hooked. I used to love that song very much.

(4) When some of the people say Robert Downey Jr. was born to play this role, it's not exaggeration, it's the fact. A narcissistic billionaire cum playboy who pokes and teases people mercilessly, this role makes this superhero different from other comic superheroes who are always serious and boring.

(5) And here's yet another Iron Man movie who puts Gwyneth Paltrow to good use... kidding! Not much is done by her except screaming (though she did have one glorious moment at the end of the film).

(6) Sir Ben Kingsley: Give him another Oscar already... or at least, give him a "Best Comic Performance" or something at the MTV Movie Award. I'm with Colonel Rhodes when he said "this is Mandarin?". What a twist!

(7) How cute and adorable is that kid? I almost wished that Tony Stark would adopt him at the end of the film, but then again that would be so not Tony Stark and it will ruin the character development so I'm fine with the ending. But still, that kid is unbelievably cute.

(8) The storyline, the action sequences, the explosion scenes arfe all typical superhero-movie standard. Not many surprises can be churned out of these movies anymore. As long as it doesn't disappoint us, it's the best we can get.

(9) Did you stay all the way til the end of the credit? I did, that's why I got to watch one extra scene with Mark Ruffalo making a cameo appearance. If you missed it, wait for the DVD to come out and watch it again. Or simple go watch the movie in cinema again.

(10) Final verdict: 4 stars out of 5. Entertaining is my basic requirement, and this movie fulfills it.
